In a speech to commemorate the 87th anniversary of March 1 Movement Memorial day, President Moo-Hyun Roh mentioned again the meaning of clearing up the past history by saying, "We are clearing up the past history now to clarify the truth as a precondition of forgiveness and reconciliation, resolve the split that originated from the past history, and to create a new society of trust and unity."
